Dagoberto PEREZ VARGAS
Dagoberto died on October 16th, 1975. He was the oldest and most wanted of the Perez Vargas brothers and died in a cross fire. This happened in Malloco where the MIR leaders were hiding. While Dagoberto confronted the agents and difficulted their accesss, the rest of the group could escape.
Dagoberto’s body was left for a long time at the Mortuary as an unidentified person, even though his relatives and lawyers continuously claimed him. On December 11th, 1975, the the mortuary informed that the body had been transferred to a common grave at the General Cemetery the day before. Then they informed Mrs. Otilia Vargas, that the remains were located at patio 29, without specifying where exactly his son’s remains were resting.
